Symptoms of Bipolar Disorder
Bipolar disorder is a personality disorder which is also known as manic depression which is generally found in the individuals of age 18 and over. Commonly initial symptoms appear in late adolescence but in some cases symptoms manifest in infancy.
Disrupted Sleep Patterns
Disturbance in normal sleep patterns is the earliest indicator of bipolar disorder. The condition that shows such pattern is sleeping significantly more than normal (16+ hours per day) or less than normal(less than 4 hours per day).
Extreme Irritability
The other symptom of such disorder is irritable behaviour which situation is out of control. irritation can be sign of both mania as well as depression or it can be coupled with other symptoms also.
Compulsive Reckless Behavior
The key symptom of such disorder is compulsive reckless behavior, performing harmful actions like jumping down from height, abusing substances, characterized by promiscuity.
Disconnect from Reality
Disconnection from reality shown through their activities shows the early stages of bipolar disorder in an individual. Taking about invincibility’s denying the law of government or physics and a feeling of grandiosity are warnings
Abnormal Mood Shifts
The early sign of bipolar disorder in an individual is abnormal changes in mood from low to high. These changes grow as time passes from being barely noticeable or “normal” to being extremely pronounced
