There is no way to prevent bipolar disorder, there are some specific actions which should be taken by the patients to cope up with the disorder. if teen is suffering from depression and symptoms of ADHD (difficulty concentrating, hyperactivity) and feels emotional and variations in mood then he should see a mental health professional.
The patient should be examined with a experienced doctor in bipolar disorder, specifically if it is a genetic disorder. To cope up the teens from such condition the doctor may prescribe therapies and medicines which will help teens to come over the situation.
